The safety manager ensures that safety is treated as the first priority during construction works. For these matters he ensures the links between the building site coordinator, the general contractor, the client and the equipment suppliers.
Main tasks:
Organization of safety induction
Checking safety and health protection plans
Identification of potential hazards during all stages of the project
Verification that Subcontractors have all required accreditation / formalities related with occupational safety and health
Check that workers have all required training and certificates
Check and approve lifting plans
Organize daily inspections and prepare reports of problems
Organize alcohol level controls
Organize meetings to discuss safety issues
Qualifications:
At least 3 years of experience working as a safety engineer
BS or MS degree in engineering, construction management or related field is required
Excellent communication skills
Good English
